Cookie Policy

What are cookies? Why do we use them?

Cookies are very small IT files. They are stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone via your web browser.

A cookie is composed of a unique code which allows it to recognise a browser during a visit to a website (“session cookie”) or during following visits (“persistent cookie”). It consists of the name of the server which placed the cookie, an expiry date and a unique numerical code.

Cookies can be placed by the server of the site you are visiting or by any partner sites withwhich it collaborates.  The server canonly read the cookies it has placed; it does not have access to any other information on your computer or mobile device.

We use cookies to improve interactions between visitors and the ELAO website. Notably, they facilitate navigation of the site; they ensure the content displayed is more relevant; they adapt the display of information to the preferences and needs of the visitor (for example, choice of interface language).

These cookies may contain personal data, either because a user’s consent was obtained or because the data is technically essential (for example, identification in order to access a service or place an order online).

Its cookies enable us to keep track of the number of visits the site receives, the duration and frequency of these visits and how visitors navigate from page to page. This allows us to, for example, ensure that visitors can easily find the information they are looking for.
